From Munich-Bavaria, Germany to downtown Boston,
Adolph Bauer traveled a pioneer's route during the early 20th century.
By 1925, having brought to this country the meticulous techniques and
teachings of the European metalcraft masters, Mr. Bauer would open a
shop at 81 Washington Street and receive commissions for
engraving that this region and nation had not yet seen. He also
incorporated the creation of embossing dies for the greeting card
industry within his ever-expanding capabilities.
Success bred success. Mr. Bauer took on apprentices
and over saw the evolution of his company from single commission
production to precision die manufacturing.
Today, as we celebrate the inspiration of Adolph
Bauer, we turn our attention toward future challenges. Within our
present Holbrook facility, our craftsman manufacture quality embossing
and foil stamping dies in partnership with advertising agencies,
design studios, greeting card companies and communications designers
within the cosmetics, food and beverage, consumer product and
technical packaging industries worldwide. |
